About Ryan McCarthy

I am a Senior Kinesiology student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a strong interest in the medical device and healthcare technology industry. Through my studies in anatomy, physiology and biomechanics, I have developed a strong comprehension of how medical technologies are able to improve patient outcomes and how they can also support clinicians in delivering more effective care. Outside the classroom, my professional experience has helped me build the communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills that are essential in healthcare sales. As a Front Desk supervisor at the Glenview Park center, I worked directly with members to explain services, sell memberships, and create an environment where everyone feels welcome in, while also managing day-to-day operations. In addition, my role as Head Bartender at The Red Lion has strengthened my leadership, efficiency, service, and networking. I am passionate about combining my background in health sciences with confident interpersonal skills to help connect health care professionals with innovative medical technology. I am currently seeking entry-level opportunities in the medical device industry, where I can continue to learn, contribute to a team, and grow within this field.
