ABOUT RYAN NONNEMAKER

The best title I will ever hold is Husband to an amazing woman and Father of our two extraordinary boys. But my bio reads.Ryan Nonnemaker is the Director of U.S. Government Affairs for CPKC Railroad based in Kansas City, Missouri at CPKC’s U.S. Headquarters. Nonnemaker has a diverse background in government and public affairs, having served as a senior level staffer for numerous public policy leaders. Before joining CPKC, he established district operations across Missouri’s 4th Congressional district as the initial District Director for U.S. Congressman Mark Alford. Previously, in his different roles for leaders in the Missouri House, he played an integral part of reviewing and providing analysis of bills in the General Assembly. This included managing floor activities as the Chief of Staff for former Majority Floor Leader Dean Plocher, serving as the research and communications lead for former Speaker Elijah Haahr as his Deputy Chief of Staff, and was a Senior Advisor on messaging for former Speaker Todd Richardson. Prior to working in the Missouri House, he worked in the Missouri Senate as the Chief of Staff to former Senator Bob Onder, Policy Director and Communications Director for the Senate Majority Caucus, and as Legislative Director for former Senator Jason Crowell. Nonnemaker has also managed national freight rail advocacy efforts as the State Director for GoRail in states throughout the Midwest, Southwest, and Western United States.Ryan discovered his passion to fight for good public policy as the Community Relations Specialist for the Coalition for Homelessness Intervention and Prevention of Indianapolis. There he was recognized for his work by then Lieutenant Governor Becky Skillman as a Distinguished Hoosier. Additionally, Ryan has experience in direct marketing campaigns at Mail Print, Inc. in Kansas City.A native Missourian, Nonnemaker earned a M.A. in mass communication & was an Instructor of Public Speaking at the University of Central Missouri. He holds a B.A. in business administration from the University of Missouri - Columbia. Ryan and his wife are proud parents of two boys and live in their hometown of Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
