Our lab studies the infuence of biomechanical factors, such as coronary wall shear stress, on the progression and development of atherosclerosis. We\'ve developed novel techniques for the 3D reconstruction of coronary arteries from intravascular imaging techniques such as IVUS and OCT. I\'m hopeful that this technology will be used to develop highly accurate patient-specific likelihood estimates for myocardial infarction and other MACE as well as to give interventional cardiologists a better planning tool for PCI.
