Built and maintained strong relationships with state and local elected leaders.• Worked with state legislators to secure $79.5M in the 19-21 capital budget to fund construction of a new academic Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) building for joint use by UW Bothell and Cascadia College.• Supported passage of the Workforce Education Investment Act (HB 2158) providing a new dedicated revenue stream for higher education and workforce training and includes significant new funding for student financial aid and faculty/staff compensation. Additionally it included $1.5M for the UW Bothell campus to increase STEM enrollment by 210 slots.
