Responsibilities: •Oversight and direction of all SINTX R&D and product development activities. •Participates in and provides direction for strategic decision making at executive level across organization. •Management of SINTX intellectual property portfolio - Preparation of patent applications and coordination with legal team to maintain existing portfolio. •Management of external research activities - Selects, designs, and coordinates execution of contracted and collaborative efforts with private labs, university partners, national labs, and other business entities. •Oversite and guidance of internal R&D team activities through R&D Manager - guides application development research, product development activities, and R&D support for manufacturing process development & troubleshooting. •Prepares grant applications to support internal & external research efforts and build strategic partnerships. •Prepares or supervises preparation of peer-reviewed publications & presentations to demonstrate product capabilities and support regulatory and marketing claims. •Represents company at tradeshows and technical conferences.
