About Ryan Lee Hom
Ryan is a creative and strategic problem solver, leveraging his experience and passion for sustainability, international affairs, and policy to shape a more peaceful, inclusive, and sustainable future. He is currently a Vice President, Social Impact & Sustainability, at Powell Tate, the Washington D.C-based unit of the global Weber Shandwick Collective. In this role he leads teams and advises clients on social impact, ESG, international affairs, sustainability and climate change, and DEI to help solve society\'s greatest challenges.He was formerly the Director of Executive Operations at the UN Foundation in New York, managing the front office team and providing strategic guidance and support to the Head of New York Office. In this role he also led strategic planning and execution for the office, coordinated the Foundation\'s work in New York, and drove special projects and policy initiatives from inception to completion. Ryan previously served as Strategic Adviser to the Permanent Mission of Papua New Guinea to the United Nations, having negotiated, inter alia, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Addis Ababa Action Agenda on Financing for Development, and the SAMOA Pathway. He also served as a negotiator for the Group of 77, including on issues relating to sustainable development, climate change, and women\'s empowerment and gender equality. He is the former Associate Director at International Public Relations Firm BLJ Worldwide, having led the D.C. office\'s client work and operations, focusing on public diplomacy. Ryan is a graduate of Trinity College, with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy and Law, with concentrated studies in Human Rights and International Policy.
