Key Role Responsibilities include:* Planning, directing, and supervising planning projects of varying scope and complexity.* Providing direction, leadership, and the assignment of projects for the group. This also includes providing strategic direction, guidance, and mentorship to planning team members.* Reviewing work produced by aviation planning staff to ensure that all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations are followed, that current techniques are utilized, and that quality is acceptable.* Assisting senior management with strategy development; including the development of initiatives, best practices and policies for the planning group.* Serving as a technical leader and as a recognized expert in aviation planning.* Building and maintaining long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.* Serving as point of contact for all project financial, business development, contractual, and client relationship endeavors for the planning group.* Negotiating issue resolution, change orders, and appropriate scope and fee enhancements with clients for planning projects where appropriate.* Conducting project risk assessments and escalating various risks, such as quality or financial issues, to the leadership team to provide visibility, mitigate risk and create contingency plans.* Ensuring planning projects are completed below budget in accordance with contractual obligations.* Facilitating stakeholder coordination with local authorities, civic leaders, and regulatory agency representatives where appropriate.* Representing the Company at conferences, seminars, meetings, etc.
