About Ryan Harrod
I am an associate professor at the University of Alaska Anchorage and the former Dean Academic Affairs and Chief Academic Officer for community college in western Maryland. I am interested in enhancing retention and student success, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives, and community engagement. My academic research prior to becoming dean was focused on bioarchaeology with an interest in understanding skeletal biology, paleopathology, trauma analysis, and violence.
