I’m Associate Director at Global Energy Monitor, where I provide strategic leadership for the organization’s energy programs and energy transition projects. I have a decade of experience working on energy and climate issues.I hold a Ph.D. in History from Rutgers University, with a specialty in stakeholder disputes in fossil fuel communities. I’m currently finishing my first book about energy development in the Powder River Basin. My work has appeared in the Washington Post, Guardian, TIME, Economist, Times of India, South China Morning Post, Sydney Morning Herald, and elsewhere.I grew up in coal country in the North East England before moving to the US. I previously worked at a start-up nonprofit and in legislative and campaign politics.
