About Ryan Doute
I am a relatively new but avid golfer, passionate about taking care of my community, and an occasionally sane single father to an awesome teenage son. I spent my formative years active duty in the US Army performing a little-known job called Techincal Escort - working in the field of weapons of mass destruction.Thankfully, there was not much calling for that in the civilian sector so I transitioned into a number of client-facing roles before ultimately finding my way to the world of data. At ThoughtSpot, my role is focused on helping my clients solve business problems and increase revenue. There are many similarities between my current role and that of a soldier - it requires a lot of teamwork, consistent communication, relentless preparation, and most importantly being accountable.ThoughtSpot is disrupting the Business Intelligence industry with Search-Driven Analytics for the enterprise. Gartner named ThoughtSpot a Leader in the Magic Quadrant for Analytics, making ThoughtSpot the fastest company ever to reach that status and the first new Leader since 2013. Anyone can use ThoughtSpot with zero training to ask questions, analyze company data, and build reports and dashboards - all in seconds. To increase the adoption of Business Intelligence by non-technical business users (which has been historically only about 22%).2. To lower the Total Cost of Ownership of Business Intelligence, both from the report building, data prep, and ongoing maintenance.ThoughtSpot is able to dramatically increase user adoption by providing end users with a search based interface that can be used by anyone.ThoughtSpot is valued at $4.2 billion as of our Series F funding ($100m) announced in August 2021.
