About Ryan Dhindsa
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Immunology at Baylor College of Medicine and an Investigator at the Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute at Texas Children’s Hospital. I also serve as Co-Director of the Better Together Pediatric Biobank at Texas Children’s Hospital and as a Senior Advisor for the AstraZeneca Centre for Genomics Research. I completed my MD/PhD at Columbia University.My research program focuses on precision medicine, integrating large-scale human genetics, multi-omics, and stem cell–based disease models to define disease mechanisms and identify therapeutic targets. My group has led the discovery and functional characterization of novel disease genes and pathways across multiple conditions, including Parkinson\'s disease, diabetes, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, epilepsy, and others, with an emphasis on translating genetic insight into biological mechanism and therapeutic opportunity.Lab website: Scholar: & hl=en
