About Ryan Colton

With over 9 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, and aerospace, I am a passionate and driven Manager in Global Supply Chain at Northrop Grumman. My mission is to lead with purpose and enable those I lead to reach their greatest potential while optimizing strategic sourcing efforts to reduce total costs. I have a strong background in systems and operations management, global supply chain management, and aviation science, as well as an MBA from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, and I value collaboration, innovation, and excellence.In my previous role, I worked in the Acquisition Strategic Planning and Innovation Office at NASA\'s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) where I focused on business process management and analysis with a continuous improvement mindset. I used various tools and methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping, to identify and eliminate waste, increase efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction. I also leveraged my analytical skills and data visualization techniques to provide insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders. Some of my achievements included leading and facilitating multiple process improvement kaizen events, developing and implementing new blanket agreements for IT equipment, and creating and maintaining dashboards and reports for key performance indicators. Prior to this I spent 6 years as a Subcontracts Manager where I mastered procurement processes, allowing me to spend my final two years in a position to improve the Acquisition Division at JPL.
