ABOUT RYAN BETHEM
My academic background is in psychology and behavioral economics. In 2010 I completed my Bachelors degree at the University of Oregon. My focus was neuropsychology, behavioral economics, assessment and statistical analysis. In 2013 I completed my Masters in Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies and obtained my clinical license in 2015. During that time I also managed clinical programs for inpatient dual diagnosis treatment in a residential setting. From 2013 to 2018 I operated an outpatient clinical treatment practice in San Francisco for trauma, psychosis, addiction and depression. At the end of 2017 I discovered the disruptive power that blockchain technology could have on our global financial system. I see this emerging technology as an instrument to help reinvent financial infrastructure in ways that benefit everyone. My passion to make an impact on a systemic level drove me to co-found Chintai.
