About Ryan Anthony
Ryan is 100% a people person, always in search of a new adventure. He has a natural love for people and passion for helping others. Currently Ryan studies Biopsychology at UCSB. He is a candidate for B.S. in Biopsychology expected to graduate in June 2026. While at UCSB, he works in the Szumlinski Lab at UCSB\'s Neuroscience Research Institute and is currently completing a thesis project examining the relationship between incubated methamphetamine-craving and frontal cortical expression of dopamine receptors.In addition to his studies, Ryan works at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital as an Emergency Department Technician. Previously he worked as a 911 EMT primarily in Inglewood, Compton, & South LA, a set medic and monitor tech in the ICU. He is working to build clinical and foundational knowledge that will prepare him for medical school. Currently, Ryan aspires to work towards an M.D./PhD and enter a surgical specialty allowing him to serve pediatric populations.Ryan enjoys time spent outdoors as an avid runner and beach enthusiast. He enjoys hiking, yoga, scuba diving, photography and watching movies with friends. Additionally, he spends time training and working in the entertainment industry in production and stunts.
