ABOUT RYAN COWLEY

I have been a public speaker for over four years, sharing my journey as a sportswriter who stutters and offering advice and inspiration to audiences across Canada, the United States, and Australia. I have spoken at major conferences, colleges and universities, support groups, and camps for children who stutter. I have also written articles and features for various sports media outlets, covering hockey and tennis events and interviewing players and coaches. Furthermore, I have published a book about my experiences as a person who stutters, and I am currently working on a novel. To enhance my skills and knowledge, I have pursued multiple associate\'s degrees from prestigious universities, such as Harvard, New York University, and Johns Hopkins. I have studied topics such as Global Sports Management, Persuasive Writing and Public Speaking, Black Lives Matter, Leadership and Communication, and Empathy and Emotional Intelligence at Work. I have also obtained certifications in Public Speaking, Reaching Out of Your Comfort Zone, and Projecting Vocal Confidence from LinkedIn. I am a strong believer in diversity and inclusion, and I have worked on a Canada-wide project for the CBC with the organization\'s diversity initiative. I have researched different diversity-related trends regarding viewership and listenership to programs across the country, and I have worked with the CBC\'s Diversity & Inclusion team to support their goals and strategies. I am also active on social networking platforms, where I connect with people who share my interests and values, and I promote my work and causes that I care about.
