Idea generation is driven by deep fundamental, value based, research seeking high total returns and significant excess returns. The universe is unconstrained and seeks investments across the capital structure including high convexity discount bonds (across quality spectrum), convertible debt (busted & equity sensitive), and/or direct investment in preferred and common equity.Employ an equity-like approach to valuation by focusing on long-term enterprise value that gives the team conviction to buy in dislocated markets and take contrarian positions. As part of the underwriting process, we examine for existing or potential ESG issues that could negatively impact the long-term enterprise value of the business.
