I currently work for AstraZeneca focussing on the development of novel CAR T cell therapies.Previously I worked for TC Biopharm who specialise in the development of gamma delta T cell therapies for the treatment of patients with cancer. Utilising a propriety costim CAR technology, TCB aims to combine the anti-tumorigenic properties of this unique subset of T cells with receptors targeting both solid as well as haematological malignancies.Prior to TCB, I worked for Adaptimmune, leading up their Universal T cell group. This programme aims to create and off the shelf T cell product from a stem cell source. By combining gene editing (Astellas) with Adaptimmune’s SPEAR TCR technology, the plan is to create a universal donor T-cell with tumor recognition capability.
