One week into my first legal job at my professor\'s law firm, I was asked to indicate two areas of interest. I intuitively indicated data privacy and healthcare regulations, without having experience in those areas. Thankfully, that response put me on the right career path where I find the legal research questions and the resulting recommendations about data privacy use and governance to be logical, straightforward and quite enjoyable. Becoming an attorney was a natural path for me since it aligned with my natural skill set: writing, research, reading and advocating for a decision.
