ABOUT RYAN T. LIESS

Thank you for visiting my LinkedIn profile. If you’d like to learn more about my background and leadership journey, you’re in the right place.I’m a lifelong Kansan, proud to have grown up in Goodland. Early jobs—farm work, construction, and mowing more lawns than I can count—taught me the value of hard work, perseverance, and accountability. Those lessons continue to guide my leadership today.Although I wasn’t the most naturally gifted athlete, the discipline my parents instilled helped me become a 4A State Champion and compete in five years of varsity athletics at Fort Hays State University. The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference shaped my resilience and teamwork, qualities central to how I lead. I earned my Business degree with an emphasis in Finance from FHSU in May banking career spans more than two decades across nearly every area of commercial banking. I began my career in Wichita, joined INTRUST Bank in 2003, accepted a commercial lending role in El Dorado in 2009, and became Community Bank President in 2017. Today, I oversee banking operations across four locations serving El Dorado, Andover, and Augusta, focusing on strategic growth, team development, and strengthening the communities we serve.Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife of 25 years and our two children, who recently followed in their parents footsteps to FHSU. We are actively involved in our local community serving on several leadership and not-for-profit boards. We\'ve been active fundraising partners for over a decade with the Kansas City Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), the world’s largest nonprofit funder of Type 1 diabetes research.Thank you for taking the time to read my bio. While I’m not an avid LinkedIn user, I do check messages periodically. Email is the best way to reach me for a timely response. Wishing you a blessed day!
