Is a liaison between parts vendors and the Maintenance Control Center. • Ensures the most efficient and cost effective means of shipping materials is utilized to satisfy AOG/Critical demand. • Coordinates and procures AOG/Critical parts support to the Maintenance Control Center. • Procures components, equipment and supplies with a high level of reliability in a time critical aircraft operations environment while maintaining fiduciary responsibilities and departmental obligations. • Evaluates items being purchased to ensure compliance with all Federal regulations and Company policies regarding quality, documentation and traceability. • Ensures compliance with requisitions in a way that minimizes inventory investment. • Maintains records of all transactions identifying in detail originating requests, authorizations, source of supply, costs, shipping method etc. • Utilizes data capture and tracking programs for all transactions. • Has knowledge of OEM contractual material support agreements. • Is familiar with a wide variety of transportation/logistical means to expedite movement of materials to eliminate/reduce flight delays and cancellations due to parts demands. • Coordinates the removal of loaner parts with our Maintenance Control Center. • Monitors and identifies repetitive problem conditions and locations and recommends corrective action. • Assists with the return of core components. • Conducts training and evaluates current procedures
