Serve as a finance Business Partner to the Commercial business unit, building strong relationships with department leaders. Commercial organization scope includes Sales, Marketing, Commercial Operations, Customer Experience, Commercial Strategy, Communications and Government Affairs.Work closely with Commercial Leadership to identify cost and headcount requirements to deliver upon business objectives. Provide guidance on finance / accounting / planning questions.Support monthly Management Reporting, Forecast, and Annual Budget processes. Includes reconciliation of financial variances, preparation and review of monthly financial packages, and providing forward looking insights based on current / past performance.Develop and maintain cost tracking processes to better capture and analyze commercial expenditures and performance against plan. Includes interpretation of metrics to provide insight on cost trends and recommendations of any needed actions.Provide additional analytical and strategic support for Commercial Partners on an ad hoc basis, including cost trending analysis, key performance indicators, revenue growth opportunities, spend effectiveness, and business optimization.Lead the development of presentation material for Commercial Leadership to help inform decision making. Includes updates on financial performance / forecasts, risks and opportunities, business case development.Drive process improvement and innovation to enhance and optimize financial planning and Commercial partner support. Includes development and maintenance of new templates and reporting tools.Partner with Finance, Controllership, and IT partners to ensure accuracy, alignment, and efficiency of key processes and reporting tools.
