About Ryan Schomberg
My 7 years of experience in the Semiconductor industry has provided me with more opportunities to learn, grow and help others in ways I never thought possible. While troubleshooting unscheduled down equipment in Diffusion, Dry Etch and Sputter(PVD) I\'ve consistently driven to root cause, ensuring equipment has a fix it forever solution. I currently work in Diffusion exclusively. This has provided me the opportunity to understand assigned tool sets at a much deeper level. During PM\'s I follow SOP\'s while looking for opportunities for improvement. I\'ve written several ECN\'s for implementation of best known methods that may not be documented as best as they could be. My philosophy for maintenance is; Do it right the first time so nobody has to go behind and clean up mistakes. I do not enjoy going back and cleaning up others mistakes, in the spirit of that I do my best to ensure not to create problems for others. I carefully read schematics to effectively understand subsystems for troubleshooting long term down events. I\'m an active participant in site ERG\'s. I provide guidance, coaching and training to new team members in my department. I drive Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) objectives in my department which shows my ability to lead without authority. I am backup lead/supervisor when my supervisor is I respond extremely well to constructive criticism and implement changes based on feedback. I\'ve been recognized for my thoughtful engagement by site leadership and corporate leadership. I recently had the privilege of volunteering at Micron Gives, Chip Camp. As an activity leader I discussed what makes a Solid State Drive function and gave encouragement to campers that were unsure of how to engage in building a simulated SSD. The feedback I received from hosts of the event was extremely encouraging. I\'ve shared my experience with several team members and they too are interested in volunteering during the next Chip Camp. I\'ve done many things at Micron to bring the organization more value while expanding my scope of influence. If you would like to know more about me please connect and message me.
