Manage and optimise regional fleet profiles, capacity planning, and haulier management to support the Fuel business within the East Anglia & South East of EnglandEnsure compliance with Transport Operators’ license requirements, road safety regulations, and environmental protection standards.Manage, Audit and review compliance systems to ensure that they are effectiveRecruit, train, and manage drivers, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and qualifications for safe and legal operation.Oversee the management of VOSA, DVS and FORS requirements.Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality or safety.Ensure that drivers are properly trained and competent to operate all relevant vehicles and equipment Proactive management of health and safety ensuring employee wellbeing in accordance with Company guidelines.Manage and maintain the Transport Fleet ensuring that the all-associated operations are compliant and meet legal requirements.Collaborate with regional operations teams to identify synergy and efficiency opportunities, delivering on national logistics service and cost targets.Manage relationship with vehicle contractors to ensure smooth running of operation and vehicle downtime is minimised.Regular resource planning including strategy for seasonal peaks and new business opportunities.Maintain communication between the distribution and Transport teams and wider business to ensure all issues are resolved in a timely manner.Regulate Compliance and ensure all transport operations comply with UK and EU transport regulations, including DVSA standards, road transport laws, and Hazardous transportation guidelines.Conduct regular audits of transport records, including driver logs, driving licences, tachographs, maintenance records, and vehicle inspections, ensuring full traceability and compliance with statutory requirements.
