WORK HISTORY
Adcs Subteam Member @Uw Orbital
UW Orbital is the University of Waterloo\'s Cube Satellite Design team, and the winning team of the 2023 Canadian Satellite Design Challenge (CSDC).I am a member of the Attitude Determination and Control System (ADCS) sub-team, involved in creating orbital simulations for our satellite. My main contribution was tailoring a system to handle Sun Position Ephemeris Data for our simulations, in a constrained embedded environment, with limited uplinking capabilities- Communicated between sub-teams to develop a deep understanding of all the constrains that would need to be worked around- Created Python Scripts to request, compress, and serialize data from NASA\'s API- Designed a Ring Buffer system in C to store and manage data points, inspired by DirectX/DirectSound\'s Ring Buffers for audio data.Additionally, I picked up and lead the effort to create a Magnetorquer Winding Mechanism, as well as the Magnetorquer itself, for the 2023 competition.

ABOUT RYAN SAMMAN
Cursed by curiosity, I dive deep into the heart of any problems I encounter. With years of experience as an educator, I\'ve honed my ability to tackle complex ideas and break them down into simpler, more intuitive components. Eager to provide value, I take responsibility over the issues I see around me. Programming is my tool of choice to do so, as after I develop an understanding of an issue, it allows me to automate any solutions that I may come up with. Looking for a challenge, I regularly go out of my way to create and learn new things, which I post on my Twitter and GitHub.https://twitter.com/Ryan_Samman_https://github.com/RyanSamman
