About Ryan S. McCool
Ryan McCool is a PhD student in UT Austin\'s Biochemistry Program interested in eliciting the structure function relations of various proteins through the application of cryo-EM techniques. As an undergraduate student, Ryan worked in the Jessica Bell laboratory at the University of San Diego where he spent four years investigating the characteristics and role of the SIKE-tubulin interaction protein interaction. He also performed a 12-week summer internship investigating the practical applications of carbon nanotubes in cellular research at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
