ABOUT RYAN ROUX

I am an experienced auditor with a strong background in financial reporting, group audits, and large consolidations. My career journey began at BDO South Africa, where I completed my articles and continued as a Manager, gaining extensive exposure across industries such as tourism/hospitality, manufacturing, retail, and telecommunications/technology. I was fortunate to be involved in complex group audits, which allowed me to build a solid foundation in auditing large organizations.Seeking international exposure, I made the move to BDO Canada in Kelowna, where I have further diversified my experience. My work here has expanded to sectors such as non-profit organizations (NPOs), school districts, and financial services, providing me with a broader perspective on audit and accounting practices.I have a strong passion for the technical aspects of accounting and enjoy diving into complex accounting issues. My expertise spans IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, ASPE, PSAS, and ASNPO, and I take great pride in assisting clients with the application of these standards in real-world scenarios.I am highly detail-oriented, and I thrive in environments that challenge my technical knowledge, while also providing value to clients through practical and clear solutions. My key interest lies in the technical application of complex accounting matters.
