ABOUT RYAN RAFFERTY
As a Construction Environmental Manager/Director and Professional Geoscientist, I manage complex environmental issues for transit and infrastructure projects in Canada, with experience on similar projects in Europe and the Middle East. I have over 20 years of experience in environmental assessment and management for various sectors, including construction, entertainment, property, insurance, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, port, O&G, and utilities. My core competencies include ISO 14001 environmental management systems and auditing, sustainability reporting, excess soil management, environmental site assessments and remediation, designated substance and hazardous materials surveys, erosion and sediment control, and air quality and noise surveys. I am also a certified Global Sustainability Assessment System professional ISO 19011:2018 Lead Auditor, Envision Professional and a trained trainer by IOSH. I lead and develop technical and administrative staff, manage business activities, and prepare and execute contracts, proposals, and safety plans. I have a proven track record of delivering challenging and complex environmental projects on time and on budget, while complying environmental acts, regulations, bylaws and other requirements. My mission is to ensure the environmental protection and sustainability of the projects I work on, and to contribute to the social and economic development of the communities they serve.
