Overseeing 30+ union-represented members of ILWU longshore mechanics, longshore clerks, foremen, and longshoremen from Locals 13, 63, & 94 in maintenance shops and stevedoring/vessel operations.•Working within and having knowledge of the contractual bargaining agreement with the ILWU, ensuring decisions made are done so within the parameters of the negotiated Pacific Coast Longshore Contract Document (PCLCD), the negotiated Pacific Coast Marine Safety Code (PCMSC), and all supplementary agreements.•Ensuring the terminal equipment is properly maintained and operational, while providing support to the mechanics and customer in any way possible.•Entering daily payroll, processing invoices and work orders, providing equipment updates to respective terminal managers, finding and correcting potential safety violations, ordering supplies or tools as needed, keeping an updated daily operations calendar.•Working with both the terminal managers and longshore mechanic leadmen to ensure the equipment and vessel operations are running smoothly and efficiently.•Overseeing the stevedore/vessel operations for several customers for the loadout & discharge of bulk cargo including iron ore, scrap metal, cement, and borax.•Providing the terminal customers with loadout/discharge status updates, communicating any potential delays or more efficient alternatives to the operation, while maintaining safety as top priority.
