ABOUT RYAN MURPHY
I’m a fourth-year Kinesiology student at Memorial University with a strong passion for working in a practical sports rehabilitation setting. Through my various medical centered roles, such as serving as the Head Student Trainer with Memorial University\'s Women\'s Basketball team, I am able to apply concepts and techniques I have learned in a classroom setting to real-world situations. This includes managing and preventing injuries through performing numerous tape jobs and wraps combined with stretching and warm up techniques to ensure my athletes feel their best to perform at their highest level.I have been able to explore other aspects of the sports medicine field through working with Hockey NL’s High-Performance programs and assisting with fitness and performance testing with ASSERTyourselfNL. I have also served on the administrative side, acting as a Medical Venue Rep for the 2025 Canada Games. Overall, I thrive in fast-paced environments where I can contribute to athlete health and performance, and I’m always looking to learn, grow, and be part of a strong support team.
