Build, manage and support a talented and diverse team of product designers that have launched and evolved multiple new and existing products for Quickbooks, Mailchimp, and across the the Global Business Solutions Group. Including: taking Commerce from 0-1 in Mailchimp, Reputation Management Features and Plan in Quickbooks, and a AI native Customer Hub for Quickbooks & Intuit Platform. My team took the concept of enabling Mailchimp customers to do Commerce natively, from concept through launch and continued evolution. • Created an environment where designers feel supported and are enabled to do their best work and drive out experience and product objectives. • Responsible for resource allocation and management in service of the top priorities for Mailchimp\'s business and customers in my product focus area. • Lead design and user experience vision by building space for collaboration with cross-functional partners, rallying the team around vision and championing the vision with key stake-holders. • Create strategic partnerships with product, engineering, content design, user research, product marketing, and product analytics in order to drive out vision and objectives. • Coach and grow designers in their skills and careers including assisting design director in piloting a design skills and career growth framework that lead to promoting 3 of my designers to new positions and broader department adoption. • Create space for designers to get feedback from peers, leadership and cross-functional team members in order to help the team produce the best design possible. • Oversee the product design process for my team and provide guidance where and when needed. Solicit feedback on team needs and unblock, streamline and advocate for improvements to process and cross-functional collaboration.

I’m a Group Product Design Manager with 20 years of experience leading projects spanning the entire product lifecycle – from concept to launch. I’ve concepted, launched and evolved complex SAAS platforms at start-ups and at nationally recognized brands. I’ve built and grown several design teams by hiring diverse and skilled designers. I’ve coached and helped designers grow their skills and careers while working to create the best environments possible for designers to do great work. Currently I’m a Sr. Product Design Manager at Intuit overseeing product design for the CRM team. I live and work in sunny Ojai, California and am currently renovating a 1950’s ranch house with my wife and two young children. My partner and I enjoy photography.
