ABOUT RYAN MAHABIR

Patent attorney and graduate from Wake Forest University School of Law, interested in intellectual property law and corporate law. I am currently an Associate Attorney at Goldstein & McClintock in the firm\'s Charlotte office, where I focus on Chapter 11 bankruptcy and corporate restructuring matters. My practice is centered on complex restructuring engagements, working with sophisticated clients in navigating financial distress, insolvency proceedings, and related corporate matters.Previously, I worked as a Document Review Attorney at Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP, focusing on e-Discovery and large-scale document analysis.I also served as a contractor attorney with Jesson & Rains, PLLC, where I drafted and revised a broad range of transactional documents. My work included revising employment agreements and integrating compensation structures; drafting and refining independent contractor agreements, NDAs, commercial leases, and buy-sell agreements; reviewing and harmonizing contracts with employee manuals; strengthening confidentiality and intellectual property provisions; and drafting AI-use clauses to ensure clarity and regulatory compliance. Earlier in my career, I served as a Research Fellow at Whitestone Construction Group, drafting memoranda on construction and contract law. I have also worked as a Summer Intern at J.T. Jones PLLC, focusing on entertainment law, intellectual property law, and estate administration; as a Law Clerk for Barnes & Thornburg LLP, assisting with patent prosecution; and as a Research Assistant, editing sections of a legal writing workbook and drafting chapters for a health law/bioethics casebook.I was a member of the Wake Journal of Business and Intellectual Property Law, the Honor Council, the Wake Intellectual Property Student Association, and the Lexis Associate program. I possess excellent skills in Legal Research, Legal Writing, Critical Thinking, and Communication, which I have further developed through my summer work experience as a law clerk and research assistant. I also worked in Wake Forest University\'s Housing Department as a Graduate Hall Director, where I was responsible for staff training, development, and mentorship; residential learning, leadership, and programming; diversity and inclusion; support and enforcement of community standards; administration; and building management.Please don\'t hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have.
