ABOUT RYAN LEONHARD

I like to leave things better (and more successful) than I found them. I have been an educator, motivator, mediator, and leader. My many accomplishments in these roles stems from my rapport with people. I love people and people tend to like me. What\'s more, I have a genuine talent for inspiring people to their potential, not just because they like me, but because I am very good at discovering and tapping into what motivates them. While I’ve enjoyed many significant successes working with and managing others, I do much of my best work on my own. I enjoy doing research, and thrive finding patterns and bringing seemingly disparate concepts together. I find challenges invigorating and years of finding ways to overcome them on my own or with a team has taught me that my professional value boils down to the following-I’m very solution-oriented-I’m a Jack-of-many-trades-The path to the right solution is rarely an easy one. I’ll climb a mountain to get there-I’m adept at leveraging the strengths and managing the weaknesses of a team to win-I’m a storyteller-Whatever happens, I’m the calm one. These traits have borne success at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Vietnam, where I regularly wear many hats – and enjoy doing so. I’ve developed and implemented marketing strategies. I’ve organized many events – including four Terry Fox Run Vietnams with participants. I’ve coordinated and facilitated EMBA delegations and trade mission. I’ve returned old members to the Chamber and driven new membership growth. Mirroring the significant growth of the Chamber over the last 5 years, my role evolved to focus predominantly on managing Chamber relationships, building our business services clientele, and developing strong Chamber connections and presence, particularly in Canada.
