About Ryan Leishman
My name is Ryan Leishman. I\'m a LBK(left below knee amputee)since 1998, I\'ve been used as a test bunny for parts from several different prosthetics companies over the years. Served 8 years as a police officer as an amputee, and long time business owner. I\'m now 40 yrs old or young, but still very active. I\'ve shifted from testing to develop and building prosthetic products on my own. I also do speeches at High Schools, University\'s, and Biz Conferences where I share my life changing events at 16 due to an automobile accident. Hospital events, trainings and Q&A sessions to attempt to educate and bring awareness in hopes to help them with understanding certain things and realistic symptoms ie phantom pain especially to the reality and that these are real happenings. Not all patients should be labeled due to lack of understanding, inability or lack of training to treat.I would love to visit with you and see if there\'s any opportunity for us to work together and continue to make a difference in the lives of both amputees, other challenged, mankind in general and their families.
