About Ryan Kim
Hello, I am a current junior at Charlotte Latin High School, with interests in pursuing a career in engineering. I have also been trained with Fab Academy, a fast-paced course created by MIT, in which I have learned many basic skills in the world of digital fabrication. Throughout my experience, I have become particularly interested in electrical and mechanical engineering. I explore these topics at the engineering club at school, in which students learn basic skills that come out of the fabrication lab. I also volunteer at summer camps for young engineers, passing on the skills I’ve learned in the lab. My future goals include exploring the use of microprocessors in the world of fabrication, and how they have affected engineering. The advancement of these digital computing processors have been used to create many other machines that have interested me, such as 3d printers, CNC machines, and many others that perform complex tasks for humans.
