About Ryan Khodayari
I am a senior at Virginia Tech majoring in Business Information Technology (BIT) with a focus on Decision Support Systems. I have a strong understanding of both business processes as well as information systems, positioning me to bridge the gap between technology and business effectively. My college course-work has provided me with a robust knowledge of business analytics, computer systems, and project management. In addition, I have sharpened my technical skills such as system administration, programming, database design, networking and business analytics through many hands-on projects and several summer internships. I have lots of experience from my internships with different SaaS applications such as Okta, BetterCloud, Jira, Salesforce. I also have experience creating and deploying packages with Microsoft SCCM. I have hands-on experience with database design and web development utilizing SQL (MySQL and MS SQL Server), Java, C-Sharp, Python, Java-script, HTML, PHP and Share-point. I also have job experience working with VBA in Excel to compare and create new worksheets. I have lots of experience with documentation and creating process flows for things like Asset Management, Onboarding/Offboarding and Case Handling. I am also familiar with computer networks and have experience with Microsoft Windows Active Directory. In addition to my business/technical abilities, I have great inter-personal skills. I can collaborate with others in a team setting while working independently. My involvement in the Dean\'s Advisory Board of Students for the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech has further developed my collaboration and communication skills, preparing me to contribute effectively to dynamic teams. As I approach the next phase of my career, I am excited to apply my knowledge and skills in a professional setting where I can contribute to impactful projects and drive business success. I am particularly interested in opportunities that allow me to work in System Administration and IT Operations, where I can continue to learn and grow while making a meaningful contribution.
