As a business analyst, my experience covers many areas of the software development life cycle, including the following: reporting upcoming technological changes to the core software platform to several departments within the firm (i.e. Sales, Product Management, Professional Services, and Executive team), assessing functional and technical needs deemed necessary by internal or external stakeholders and prioritizing new features effectively, assisting and/or managing quality assurance teams by reviewing test plans/strategies and managing the scope of the testing effort as well as troubleshooting incoming defects in order to provide the development team with the optimal approach for a solution, documenting client provided or internally developed requirements and conducting reviews with the entire project team (which includes transforming the information into QA/DEV-friendly documentation that can be used almost immediately to build out and test a solution), using SQL and other troubleshooting tools to understand possible defects or system failures as well as reporting statistical information to the responsible teams for transparency purposes.
