About Ryan Henning

I am a career biologist and senior environmental regulatory professional with over 30 years of experience in the Energy sector. Prior to joining Apex Clean Energy, I had a unique, once-in-a-lifetime, career opportunity to oversee the full lifecycle development, construction, and commissioning of oil recycling facilities in shale patches across the US. I am currently the Senior Vice President of Environmental for Apex Clean Energy. In my current role, I lead Apex’s Environmental Team of 17 subject matter experts. Primary responsibilities include ensuring that Apex’s 65 gigawatt portfolio of renewable energy projects across 32 states are permitted & commercialized in compliance with local, state, and federal environmental laws and regulations. I hold a B.S. in Wildlife Biology from the University of North Dakota, and a M.S. in Biological Conservation from California State University-Sacramento.
