About Ryan Heard

24-year Navy Veteran with 19 years’ experience in Naval Special Warfare as a Special Warfare Combat Crewman (SWCC). I have spent the last 6 years working in the Marine Industry learning about boats and all jobs that incorporate the industry. My goal was to find new technology to mitigate shock and slamming, find out where boats were failing and what the operators needed from fishing boats, work boats, and in law enforcement boats. I worked in boat repair and boat repair facilities to find out where these boats were failing what was breaking. I’m 100% disabled from operating boats that constantly slammed. My passion is to build the best boat on the water for those that are operating boats. My thought has always been if you train them, they become part of your responsibility and are going down range with the tools you gave them. Never compromise your standards and never get capabilities and enthusiasm confused. When you train or lead warriors you leave your mark on that warrior, good or bad you will always leave your mark on them, make it the best mark you can. I was raised in the NSW community by Pipe hitters that stood for integrity, loyalty and a sense of duty that made me proud to be a Boat Guy. I have served all over the world, I have operated boats, jet skis and pretty much anything that goes on the water in every condition imaginable. If not in a Troop, I was in a Training department. For those reading this profile that have never heard of Special Warfare Combat Crewmen I highly recommend googling (SWCC). We are a quite group, most of the time. A band of modern-day Vikings. We are Masters of our crafts, weapons specialist, communication specialist, master navigators and fierce warriors. We are one of the only Enlisted communities with weapons release authority, this authority usually is only given to the Commanding Officer of a Naval Ship. As a Special Operation Boat Operator Chief (SWCC Master) you have the power to take your Detachment into harm’s way anywhere in the world.
