My main roles at New look have changed drastically from when I first started which has seen me progress my way through different departments and develop different skills. At first I was based only on the picking orders for ECOM which was for around 18 months. Then I was trained on multiple different departments that are on the more technical side. These other departments include OCR line walking which is making sure all lines that connect the two DC’s are in working order at all times. When on this task I’m in close contact with the OCR team from the office who communicate where different points of the belt may have broken down resulting in the whole operation of transporting totes/boxes not being able to run smoothly. Another of the departments I have worked on and still work on til this day is Stock control. This is the management of stock across the warehouse, what’s going out and what’s coming into the warehouse. This is an extremely important side of the business as it’s vital that all stock is assigned right so costs and profits can be tracked accurately. During my time working over multiple departments I have worked on main different systems and devices such as a PDA scanner, Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft teams, New look Pro portal to name a few. The skills I have gained from working across the whole New look operation has been very eye opening into how much goes into every item sold and how important it is that it’s done quickly and efficiently.

ABOUT RYAN HARPER GRIFFITHS
A dedicated professional with over 3 years experience in logistics delivering a 1st class experience to our customers and clients. As well as 10 months of experience in digital sales across a range of platforms. I’ve been on the very frontline of a product to a customer physically and digitally which has made a core value of mine be that the customer is always right! It could be shipment delays, tracking not updated, item arrived in poor condition, and many other issues that can occur which I deal with as fast as possible in the most effective way to resolve whatever issue it may be. As well as going through the feedback after multiple sales. My most active interest is tennis, playing a mix of doubles and singles across the top divisions in Cheshire. Football is also still a huge part of my life, having played on Crewe’s Scholarship program to still playing in a more relaxed environment of Sunday league/seven a side. I’d like to think I offer as much going forward as I do defensively but I’m sure many of my teammates would disagree. My experience of playing, training and living the life of football on the scholarship was a blessing for me. I believe I had a lot more to offer before covid sadly ended the season early but I was also very lucky to have no injuries at all. For a pacy full-back with no real lack of defensive awareness I’d say I did alright.
