ABOUT RYAN GRIPPO
With over 13 years of dedicated research in neurobiology, my journey has led me to a fulfilling role at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where I delve into the complexities of neural circuits for CNS control of hunger and satiety. My mission to understand and manipulate the transcriptional makeup of neuron populations is fueled by a commitment to advancing health outcomes. My work upholds the center\'s mission, introduces diverse perspectives, and leverages my expertise in experimental design and project leadership. In Brad Lowell\'s lab, my focus has been on defining the neural pathways that regulate food intake, a vital component of metabolic health. This builds upon my PhD research, where I uncovered key neural connections between dopamine reward pathways and the circadian pacemaker. Mastery in calorimetry and experimental design has been instrumental in pushing the boundaries of our understanding of these complex biological systems.
