ABOUT RYAN GREEN

My career began with West Lothian Council, working as a Trainee QS, whilst studying at Glasgow Caledonian University on a part-time basis. During this time I gained invaluable work experience as I progressed through my honours degree course.Following graduation I trained towards my Assessment of Professional Competence which I successfully passed in November 2012, gaining my RICS chartership. My time with WLC between 2005 and 2014 provided me with a diverse range of experience working in a PQS role, as part of the construction services team, on various public sector contracts.In 2014 I joined Ogilvie Construction, a leading main contractor in the construction industry. My role within the company enabled me to enhance my skillset and experience working in a contracting QS role, delivering an array of multi million pound projects for various clients throughout Scotland. In 2018 I relocated to Aberdeen to take on a new challenge in the north east, joining Robertson Partnership Homes as the lead QS in the delivery of an £18m affordable housing development in the city. My involvement in the commercial management role provided me with experience working on a large scale project, from tendering through to completion, whilst building new relationships with the local supply chain, clients and designers along the way.I re-joined Ogilvie Construction in August 2019 and I am currently working as the commercial lead in the north east, having opened our new divisional office in Aberdeen. My extensive project experience includes the delivery of new schools, residential projects, restaurants, hotels, student accommodation, care homes, historic listed buildings, demolitions, planned maintenance and refurbishments, covering the full range of commercial roles and responsibilities from inception through to completion.
