ABOUT RYAN GODDARD

As a Chartered Structural Engineer with more than 10 years of experience in the construction industry, I’ve had the privilege of working across a wide range of sectors, including multi-room residential, private residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure, defence, education, healthcare and higher education. I have successfully led the design of projects with construction values up to £100m, working with a variety of materials including steel, concrete, timber, masonry, and stone. Key projects I’ve worked on include the £60m redevelopment of University Station, Birmingham, a £100m 484-apartment Build to Rent (BTR) city centre development and a £30m NHS hospital expansion.I’m passionate about collaborating with Architects and developers to create efficient, sustainable, and elegant buildings. My approach combines technical excellence with creativity, ensuring designs are not only functional but also innovative. I also work closely with contractors to deliver cost-efficient, safe, and buildable structures, even on the most challenging sites.A key focus of my work is reducing embodied carbon in every design.
