Within the Audit Data Analytics team, I worked with various teams to deliver efficient and high-quality solutions for audit engagements. My role involved- Assisting clients with data extraction from various ERPs including SAP, Sage200 and Kerridge using SQL scripts and other ingestion tools- Processing and analysing large and complex data sets using Alteryx, Excel and PowerBI- Liaising with engagement teams to understand the scope, plan and deliverables of the data analytics work for large and complex audits- Engaging in discussions with technical audit and other stakeholders regarding the implementation of data analytics within the audit sphere to ensure appropriate adoption- Developing and testing Alteryx server-side applications for the use of the entire of RSM UK Audit team. This included the development of data manipulation, recalculation and audit assertion testing tools - Preparing clear and concise guidance and documentation of Alteryx applications for the users of the applications - Pursuing an MSc in Applied Data Analytics, where I learned how to use Python for data modelling and analysis I enjoyed applying my data analytics skills and knowledge to enhance the audit quality and efficiency, as well as learning new technologies and methods along the way.
