In this position, I use critical educational research skills to engage and participate in all phases of the research process—defining research questions, data collection and cleaning, literature and empirical analysis, and academic reporting. The identification model we employ focuses on positive psychology traits like agency, perseverance, and hope, rather than relying solely on traditional assessments that often miss gifted potential in these populations. The goal of the research is to expand access to gifted services for traditionally overlooked students and establish evidence-based practices that work.
