About Ryan Spitz

When I get asked, what are the best qualities that define me as a person, worker, student, etc. my answer to that question is always the drive, determination, and grit behind whatever it is that I am doing. I am the type of person who will always go the extra mile, stay the extra hour, do the extra steps, to ensure that I put my best work forward and finish to the best of my ability everything that I start. As a student of Nichols College, I am pursuing a double-degree in Criminal Justice Management and Criminal Psychology. Following, I will pursue my Master\'s Degree in the Science of Counter Terrorism in the Nichols College 4+1 program. With these degrees, I aspire to work as a counter terrorism specialist in national security. During my time in current and previous employment positions, I have been able to demonstrate and master important career skills. For example, spur-of-the-moment decision making when working with hundreds of individuals per event at Al Lane\'s Racing School, creating and carrying out a plan of action while Landscaping the Thompson Speedway, to effectively communicating and building connections with prospective students in the Admissions Office of Nichols College, these skills have grown stronger and have been able to develop myself as a stronger worker. There is nothing more important to me than to use my grit, determination, and drive to finish whatever it is I start. It is also equally as important to make sure that I use the same determination to drive myself to be a constant learner, as there is always someone somewhere that knows more. As Matthew McConaughey once stated,\"when I ask myself who I aspire to be, I aspire to be myself in ten years. And when those ten years come, I aspire to be myself in another ten years, as you should never be set, as there is so much to learn and grow from.\" I aspire to be like this, and use all of my qualities and experiences to grow and learn each day.
