The Graduate Hall Advisor (GHA) position is a 10-month, part-time (approximately 20 hours per week), live-in, graduate position within the Department of Housing and Residence Life. The Graduate Hall Advisor is responsible for providing administrative support to an assigned residential community housing 300-750 students or to department-wide Residence Life programs and services such as staff training, staff recruitment, student leadership programs, and academic initiatives.Directly supervised four Resident Advisors, indirectly supervised twelve additional RAs, and supported daily hall operations for six hundred plus residentsFacilitated Care & Concern and Conduct meetings with residents to provide support, resources, accountability, and remediation as neededAdvised the Wilson Hall Residential Leadership Council, mentoring an executive board of five residents and two RA liaisons in community programming and leadership developmentServed in an on-call rotation to support half of the residential population (approximately students), responding to emergencies and crisis situationsProvided administrative support for hall operations, including program facilitation, occupancy and key management, room changes, occupancy checks, health and safety inspections, recruitment events, and residence hall closingCollaborated on departmental processes, including staff recruitment, selection, training, and professional development
