Experienced in the U.S. Southeast, Southwest, Midwest, Appalachia, Northeast, and Mid-Atlantic. 1. Chesapeake Forests Program Manager

   Alliance For The Chesapeake Bay

   Apr 2017 — Present · Lancaster, PA, US

   I manage the Alliance\'s Chesapeake Forests program in PA, NY, and parts of MD. This entails- Increasing the quantity of forest cover. I created, implement, and manage innovative reforestation programs, focused but not limited to the riparian zone- Increasing the quality of forest cover. I work to increase forest health, specifically on private lands, by helping landowners attain forest management plans and enact sustainable management practices. I also created, implement, and manage the Woodland Stewardship Network Program, which helps landowners with small-to-medium acreage overcome the barriers to management. We form a \"Stewardship Network\" where contracted plan writing and management action are synchronized and coordinated among participating landowners- Increasing the awareness of and appreciation for forest resources by the general public, landowners, and decision makers. I conduct outreach and education on forests and forest stewardship through events, workshops, online articles, our monthly newsletter, and maintenance of our site, forestsforthebay.org. At a higher level, I am on the PA Riparian Forest Buffer Advisory Committee Leadership Team, a Co-Leader of the PA Woodland Stewardship Innovation Team, and a member of the Phase Watershed Implementation Plan Forestry Workgroup.
