About Ryan Cronk

The World Health Organization estimates that 12.6 million deaths per year are linked to adverse environmental conditions, such as contaminated drinking water and air pollution. Improving environmental conditions is one of the most pressing challenges for environmental health engineers in the 21st century. In response, I use systems approaches to address these multi-disciplinary,\'wicked\' problems. I collaborate with diverse researchers, policymakers, and practitioners and use systems thinking to understand the links between environmental exposures and health outcomes; collect, manage, and analyze data to describe environmental systems and underlying determinants; use systems analysis approaches to describe risks and identify pathways to improve systems, services, and implement control measures; and develop credible, salient, and legitimate knowledge products for evidence-based decision making.I\'ve published more than 60 peer-reviewed journal articles in the fields of environmental engineering, environmental health, monitoring evaluation and learning (MEL), global health, risk assessment, and water. All publications are available from my Google Scholar Profile (PDFs available on request): & hl=en
