About Ryan Council

I am an live event entertainment enthusiast and, I believe in helping companies and entertainers tell their story through corporate events and concerts. My background in film, television, and live event production prepared me to know how to engage the audience and to lead diverse teams of talented technicians. After successfully completing an entertainment business degree from Full Sail University, I strengthened my skills by joining strong AV production teams in Central Florida including Universal Studios, Video Tech Services and Rhino Staging amongst severa other companies. I\'m determined to be an advocate for change and I intend to use my business skills and experience to help companies build stronger teams by advocating for civility in the workplace. My wife, Tracey Council Ph.D, will be joining me for speaking engagements as we look to bring our humorous, high-energy \"work-life balance/corporate-training\" model to stages across the country.

   As a recruiting coordinator, I review and verify applicants that are vying for a role with Rhino Staging, and I look to see if they strongly model the skills and abilities necessary to become a candidate for employment. With careful consideration, I move those candidates into a phone interview and qualifying stage, where I evaluate their expertise and performance reflected from their resume and commended from their references. I maintain contact with all new hires throughout the onboarding process and provide direction and education about our industry including new COVID policies and procedures, OSHA standards for working on job sites, and mentoring for team members new to the entertainment industry. From the hiring start gate, I am advantageous about performance evaluations and determining that our technicians and stagehands fit into more advanced roles and opportunities throughout their employment and I work with local universities and trade schools with entertainment/show production programs to make sure that their graduates have the industry related insight they need when transitioning out of their program. I procured services from third-party job posting apps to integrate into our labor pool for our larger stadium events. As an admin for those technologies, I create the event in the system, I hire from within their labor pool, and I verify the services that are being rendered. I also recruit in other markets throughout the country. Along with recruiting for all of Florida, I have also recruited in Tennessee, Missouri and Arizona.
