About Ryan Cole

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a passion for helping children, individuals, and adults live more full and joyful lives. I help my clients by offering a safe, warm place to bring their full selves; while simultaneously being active in the room and assisting clients to explore and challenge what may no longer be serving them. I\'m not one of those therapist who will sit back and listen without saying much. I am relational - I strive to be as human and myself in the room - active, talkative, willing to share my own experience if that\'s helpful. My clients tend to feel at ease in my presence, and to feel like they are being deeply listened to and understood. Sometimes we share a good laugh too, because therapy can also be fun, silly and joyful. I work psychodynamically, relationally, and with a trauma-informed, multi-cultural therapeutic model. I bring in somatic therapy when it feels comfortable and helpful. But most of all, I follow my client where they\'re at. If they want to learn specific skills to calm themselves down or communicate, then great. If they want to explore their early childhood, then great. It\'s all important, relevant, and welcome in the room.
